Flora & Fauna Rouge

Merlot, Carignan,
Grenache Noir

Languedoc, France

The Languedoc is a dream for this style of red. Full of flavour, spice and herbal intrigue, yet incredibly easy to drink. We may source great white and rosé from the Languedoc nowadays but this is the style of wine that made this region famous!

This is a rich, full-bodied wine blend with a freshness that makes it incredibly approachable. It is packed with tempting aromas of dark forest fruits, blackberry, plum, redcurrant and sloe. It works well by the glass, with a variety of poultry, red meats, game and cheese.

This wine has a rustic charm that is very ‘French’ in style, with an earthy herb complexity that sets it apart from the rest.

"With wines like this, it's all about drinkability. This is a wine style not reliant on food and yet capable of working so well with it too. This wine has always had a fantastic scent of southern France, a warmth of fruit with a hint of spice. Its inviting but unlike wines from the new world, it retains a restraint on earth dryness that gives it huge appeal."
