Create a wine · From vineyard to market

Your wine brand starts here.

Whether you have a fully formed brief or the beginnings of an idea, we help you create a wine that makes sense in the glass, on the shelf and in the market.

Hands in a vat of freshly picked black grapes during fermentation

More than private label.

A successful wine needs to work on several levels at once: the right liquid, a compelling identity, a credible price point and a dependable route to market. Our role is to connect those decisions from the outset.

Rather than choosing a wine and designing a label afterwards, we approach the project as one integrated piece of brand and product development.

Who we work with

  • Vineyard owners and landowners looking to create a wine and a brand
  • Retailers creating exclusive ranges
  • Restaurants and hospitality groups developing signature wines
  • Established brands extending into wine
  • Entrepreneurs launching new propositions
  • Importers and distributors seeking differentiated products
  • Private clients with a defined wine creation project

Where are you starting from?

Every project starts somewhere different.

01

Branded wines and private labels

Everything a wine brand needs, under one roof.

Whether you are a boutique retailer, a hospitality group or an entrepreneur, we bring together the research, design, production and marketing that turn an idea into a successful wine.

  1. 01

    Market research

Understanding the market landscape first: emerging trends, consumer preferences and competitive benchmarks, so the wine is positioned for the customers it is meant for.

  2. 02

    Design and branding

From label design to packaging, an identity that tells the wine’s story and stands out on the shelf — developed closely with you, and reflecting the quality and character of the wine inside.

  3. 03

    Wine production

Access to fine vineyards and winemaking expertise, overseen by a Master of Wine alongside a network of winemakers and viticulturists — from selecting the grapes to fermentation and ageing.

  4. 04

    Marketing

Campaigns that build awareness and engagement across traditional and digital channels, from social media to in-store promotion, to build a loyal customer base and drive sales.

The process

One partner, the whole journey.

  1. 01

    Define.

We discuss the audience, market, desired style, positioning, target price, volumes, timeline and commercial objectives.

  2. 02

    Source.

We explore suitable regions, grape varieties, vineyard partners and production options — including, where the project calls for it, vineyard sites to secure and plant. Quality and consistency must support the brand promise.

  3. 03

    Create.

We develop the wine through tasting, selection, blending and winemaking decisions, alongside name, identity, packaging and brand story.

  4. 04

    Produce.

We coordinate practical production requirements, bottling, labelling, specifications and quality control with the relevant partners.

  5. 05

    Launch.

We help prepare the wine for its intended market, with appropriate product information, commercial materials and distribution support.

  6. 06

    Grow.

Where agreed, we continue to support vintage transitions, range development, forecasting and the evolution of the brand.

Why Vineyard Productions

What makes us different.

Wine expertise first.

Wine quality is not a detail added at the end. It shapes the entire proposition.

Creative and commercial together.

The brand, the wine and the intended customer are developed in parallel.

Access to producers.

Our relationships across wine regions allow us to find solutions beyond a standard off-the-shelf offering.

Built to work in the real world.

We consider practical matters such as production volumes, cost structure, consistency, logistics and distribution from the beginning.

“The Vineyard Productions business model is a game-changer, that has a dramatically positive impact on our business too! Working directly with the people that make the wine is fantastic, removing the middle men, bringing our customers closer to the wine than ever. Liam Steevenson MW and Mark Pygott MW combine a level of enthusiasm and product knowledge that is second to none. Whether we are shipping directly from the winery, or through their UK warehouse, the team is expertly managed, with an incredible ability to understand our needs and get it right!”
— Mike McGarry, Managing Director, Sovereign Wines Ltd.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know exactly what wine I want?
No. We can begin with a market, an audience or a commercial idea and develop the wine brief together.
Can you create both the wine and the brand identity?
Yes. We approach wine style, name, packaging and positioning as connected parts of the same project.
Can you help with the vineyard itself?
Yes. Our involvement can begin before the first grape is harvested: identifying and evaluating vineyard opportunities, negotiating vineyard agreements, and working with specialist teams on variety and clone selection, planting and ongoing viticultural management.
Can you work with an existing brand?
Yes. We can help established businesses create wines that fit their audience and identity.
Is there a minimum order?
Minimum quantities depend on region, production method, packaging and the complexity of the project. Tell us what you have in mind and we will discuss realistic options.
Can you help with distribution?
We can advise on routes to market and support distribution planning; the exact scope depends on the project and destination markets.
How long does it take?
Timing varies significantly by wine style, vintage, production availability and packaging. We will establish a realistic programme once the brief is defined.
