Liam Steevenson MW
Master of Wine, Founder & CEO

Liam was the youngest person in the world to achieve the Master of Wine qualification, he passed it on his first attempt and won the esteemed Villa Maria prize.

Prior to setting up Vineyard Productions, Liam held prominent positions at Bibendum, Armit Wines and Waitrose where he directed the France, New Zealand and Australian divisions.

He also established Red & White, a successful wine merchants based in the Southwest of the UK, delivering wines nationwide. As such, Liam was recognised by O2 as their Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

In 2018, Liam founded Global Wine Solutions which is the world leader in Super Yacht wine supply. More recently, the company invented CruSmart which is the world’s first wine management application. Outside of work, Liam is a proud father of three and has achieved two Guinness World Records for rowing across the Atlantic Ocean.

Mark Pygott MW
Master of Wine

Mark has twenty years of impressive wine industry experience.

He was Taiwan’s first resident Master of Wine, where he founded a successful consultancy business and worked with high-profile clients across Taiwan, China, Australia, France and the United Kingdom.

Mark’s prominent career has seen him produce, import, distribute, market, sell, teach and judge wine at the highest-level across a variety of markets and countries.

If that wasn’t enough, Mark has written a series of outstanding books and the first of which ‘France in 33 Glasses’ is available in multiple languages worldwide.

Joseph Sharp
Finance Director

Joe has been part of the team in Bristol for three years now and didn’t take much convincing to move from the pharmaceuticals industry to the wine trade. A love for food and wine and a father who previously ran a vineyard made the opportunity to join GWS difficult to resist.

Based in Clifton, Joe has become completely immersed within the Bristol food and wine scene and a job that comprises finance with these interests is a perfect fit.

Outside of work Joe’s passion for Italy has him taking Italian classes in Bristol and his sporty side sees him playing football and rugby in the week and cycling through the Mendips on the weekends.

Lily Read
Office Manager

With an impressive career in event production, bar operations and hospitality management. Lily is a natural coordinator with a huge passion for food and drink. She coordinates our logistics, stock and order processes and helps keep everything organised in the Vineyard Productions office.

Ben Hawker DipWSET
Sales Manager (UK & Overseas)

Ben began life in the wine industry at twenty-one years of age, whilst studying his WSET exams and working as a Sommelier.

As soon as he passed his WSET level 3, he decided to pack his bags and head to Australia where he worked as a Sommelier at the famous Quay Restaurant in Sydney and also for Serafino wines in McLaren Vale.

However, he wasn’t done there and decided to move to New Zealand and work two vintages for Villa Maria wines in Auckland and Hawkes Bay.

Since his return to the UK, Ben has completed his WSET Diploma, become a wine judge and has enjoyed many bottles of wine along the way.

Evy Adams
Marketing Manager

Evy has over five years of education and experience, working with top-level clients across various sectors. She is responsible for the production and implementation of marketing strategies across all key Vineyard Productions brands.

Parallel to her career, Evy achieved a master’s degree in ‘Marketing Strategy and Business Development’ from the University of Bristol, with distinction. This year, she plans to work towards the WSET Level 2 and 3 qualifications, as her interest in the wine industry grows.

Martin McCully
Head of Design

Martin is a multi-award-winning Creative Director. He has a wide range of skills in design, advertising, branding, print, illustration, UX, UI and digital.

He has a proven track record of design direction and consultancy for both national and international clients. As well as, extensive experience in managing local and remote multi-disciplinary design teams.

Over the past twenty years, Martin has created advertising campaigns for corporations like Microsoft, Netflix, Santander, General Motors, Diageo and 20th Century Fox. His wide spanning career has been recognised with over fifty awards, the highlight of which being two Cannes Lions.

Paul Howe
Logistics Manager

Paul has over two decades experience of customer facing business to business relationships. He is responsible for the global management of all fine wine and spirits’ stock. He is attentive, methodical, and flexible in his approach, ensuring the customer experience is paramount and complete.

Away from wine, he is a keen sportsman and spends his time watching his beloved Liverpool or enjoying days out at the cricket. He has a passion for fitness and can often be found cycling or running across the Mendip Hills.
